Sailing Around Australia; Arrival at Lakes Entrance

On approach to Lakes Entrance, we had to line up the blue arrow with a maker in front of it.

The only question was "which marker"?

Then you get to the actual"bar crossing". These ripples are caused by strong current.

Next you motor up through here.

Past the permanent dredging station

Then a beautiful calm channel is revealed. What a relief to get here!

The first jetty we found. Easy to get on to. No one else here, and it's free.

ET tied on to Flagstaff Jetty

The other end of Lakes Entrance is a pretty busy fishing port

But has more jetties available to the public for FREE! This one is across the road from shops etc...

There's a great walking trail from the Entrance right into town

And in the morning it just looks better!!!

Believe it or not, this yacht is leaving. Oh well, more room for us.
I wonder if improper use of the life buoy includes pooping on it?
We met this couple of locals who were quite friendly.

And some that weren't

Wonder whats around the next corner?
